Help Create point along line at different distances

Hi I was hoping I could get some help on how to plot about 400 points along two lines. Each point is at a different location along the line. I'm trying to use this for a storm culvert that doesn't have many structures. We performed a CCTV and found defects along the storm culvert and that is what I need to plot, the loction of the defects. However, it doesn't seem like there is a tool that GIS has that I could use.
